October 7-22, 2016 at Bartell Theatre, 113 E Mifflin. An ambitious politician battles public doubts, personal demons, and his partner in a quest to become President. The complicated relationship between Ned Worley, former college professor and Governor of Rhode Island, and his openly gay partner, Richard, who sees little to gain – and much to lose – from Ned’s bid.
November 18+19, 2016. Festival welcomes all types of burlesque, variety and fringe entertainment including cabaret, singing, sideshow, magic, circus, drag, solos, duos and groups; all performers who identity as male when they perform on stage - male burlesque performers, Drag Kings, and Trans-men. Also female-identified performers submitting a "male eccentric act."
December 16-29, 2016 at the Bartell Theatre. Dorothy, whisked from a Wisconsin Dells waterpark on a waterspout, ends up in Oz and meets all the characters of literature and films, with a few twists. Panto style, men dress as women, women dress as men, some people dress as animals, and flying critters have a definite Wisconsin connection. Silly song parodies, slapstick humor, corny jokes.
