Operational Fictions/ hybrid entities address complex issues raised by new techno-sciences using techno-sciences as a medium: data collection devices examine ramifications of polling/categorization; genetic experiments undermine scientific constructions of race/ identity; temporary organizations playfully critique institutionalization/corporatization.

A whimsical program of animals in music from the Baroque to the contemporary, with works by Luciano Berio, Heinrich Biber, Olivier Messiaen, Francis Poulenc, and Franz Schubert’s beloved “Trout” Piano Quintet.
