September 30 + October 1-2, 2016. Mr Midwest Leather Contest. Annual event for leathermen Mr Midwest Leather Contest! -title covers 13 Midwest States. March, 2017 (TBC) at Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster Hall, 470 E Lockwood. Celebrating St Louis’ Gallic heritage and France’s cinematic legacy. The featured films span the decades from the 1930s through the early 1990s, offering a comprehensive overview of French cinema. See program updates:
Late April, 2017. An annual 5-day event at the Tivoli Theatre. QFest uses the art of contemporary gay cinema to spotlight the lives of LGBTQ people. The festival features an eclectic slate of contemporary LGBTQ-themed feature films, documentaries, and shorts. Check their website for details.
July 16-20, 2017 (TBC), at Tivoli Theatre and Webster U. The area's primary venue for films made by local artists. With advances in affordable digital filmmaking, more and more movies are being made in St. Louis and environs, but opportunities for moviegoers to see that work are scarce, because few of the films ever screen commercially.
June 23-25, 2017 (TBC), annual weekend festivities. Past year Sunday noon parade on Market Street/ the Arch as backdrop. Three-day festival at Soldiers’ Memorial, Downtown St Louis, w/ entertainment, venders, food, drinks, dancing. Several other pride related events held throughout the month included the Pride 5K Race.
