April 26 - May 6, 2014, Rainbow Week. Sunday colorful and lively parade with floats begins in Yoyogi Park and continues through the neighborhoods of Shibuya and Harajuku; also picnic in Yoyogi park. Analyzing Bear-themed Works in the Tokyo National Museum Collection
Bears and People

Ongoing through June 1, 2014 at the Heiseikan Thematic Exhibition Room, the Tokyo National Museum. Bears have long inhabited Japan and connected with people as a subject of hunting. The exhibition shows a range of works featuring bears on earthenware and accessories created by people who lived in the Jomon period (ca. 11,000 BC - ca. 5th century BC).
