NYC and SF 1940s beginnings, live performances, films (including “Pull My Daisy”), texts, photos, discussion, art reproductions, handwritten drafts, unpublished documents. A new language/ new ways of living; a poetic world view, with effects still felt today.

June 28, 2014, 7pm at Magnum Sauna, Csepregy utca 2, Budapest. Sexy bear guest from Zagreb: Rade; DJ Perfecto, sexy house sounds; chips/ salsa/ sangria. Video room: Where the Bears Are Season 1, plus educational movies to brush up your technique. Honey Aufguss in the sauna, the night’s sexiest bear butt election. August 11-18, 2014 multi-cultural festival of music on Óbudai Island each year. Take local train (HÉV) departing from Batthyány tér. Around 1000 performances take place each year during the week-long festival. There are YouTube live streams if you can't make it, and an official "after movie" to be released after the event.
Mid-September, 2014 (tentative) Mr Bear Hungary contest, parties, events. Ongoing - once a month party for meeting bears and their chasers; every last Saturday in the month gay bears from Hungary and from around the World.
October - November, 2014, usually at Toldi Art Cinema. Once part of the Budapest Pride Cultural and Film Festival, now an expanded event series. Film screenings in Budapest, Pécs and Szeged. The majority of the titles are award-winning films that will be shown for the first, possibly the only time in Hungary.
