Easter weekend cultural celebration of traditional and contemporary music, dance, poetry and storytelling in the nation's capital. Almost 200 different acts give you a non-stop flow of entertainment and 90 market stalls to explore.
November 1-29, 2016, Canberra's annual Queer Cultural Festival - live music, drag shows, comptetitions, speakers, march, rally, queer ball, film, picnics, workshops, awards, Quire concert, and more. Mid-November Bushdance, 7:30pm at Yarralumla Woolshed, 208 Cotter Rd, Yarralumla - an 18+ fun night of dancing with people of all flavours.
Early November, 2016 (TBC) at the National Film & Sound Archive. Eleven-day program includes works by Indigenous filmmakers, films from Asia and the Middle East, a selection of archival films. Also showcasing films and filmmakers from Canberra, past and present. Festival hub beer-hall style hangout area with filmmaker talks, short films, music, wine and food throughout the festival.
