The first exhibition on French creator Thierry Mugler, the undeniably artistic figure - visionary couturier, director, photographer and perfumer - in a retrospective of his work, especially his ready-to-wear and haute couture creations. more than 130 outfits, most never shown before, created 1973 - 2001, as well as many unseen archive documents and photos.

June 22-24, 2019. Annual Québec statutory holiday. Pagan festivals long celebrated Summer Solstice longest day with bonfires. In Catholic countries the rites became associated with St John the Baptist. In Quebec it is their National Day, celebrated with enthusiasm and joy throughout the province. Montreal festivities are centered in parc Maisonneuve, with entertainment.
June 26 - July 1, 2019. Six day annual weekend. Young and upcoming artists exhibit the first two days in booths and tents along Sainte-Catherine E in the Village (between St-Hubert and Papineau) - followed by exhibits by more established artists for the final three days of the event.

The Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal is the largest comedy festival in the world, attracting 1.25 million visitors every summer -- celebrating their 37th anniversary in 2019!
July - August, 2019. For 8 summer nights each year the skies fill with fireworks displays from La Ronde on Île Sainte-Hélène; pyrotechnics by masters of the art from around the world, each based on a theme.
August 17-18, 2019, annual festivities include: SAT Community Day, 11am-5pm on Ste-Catherine E, St-Hubert to Papineau. SUN Parade, noon from Drummond, east on René-Lévesque, to Alexandre-DeSève in the Village. Then to Parc des Faubourgs to continue celebrations at the MEGA T-DANCE and closing show.
