July 8-16, 2017. Annual Saturday parade through gay neighborhoods, street festival at Marienplatz. Events fill the bars, and Rathaus (City Hall) is the Sat/Sun site of the biggest gay party in Southern Germany, with several dancefloors, Classic Ballroom, chillout lounge and large open-air area. August 19, 2017, annual street party and festival also known as Hans-Sachs Straßenfest. Stage performances, vendors, food and drinks, dancing in the street, 3pm until 10pm when the party moves over to the clubs. See the website for details.

October 12-15, 2017 at Kino Neues Maxim. Film festival celebrates the diversity and acceptance of alternative living styles: the second annual Queer Film Festival takes place in Munich. Last year a total of 21 films and documentaries from 10 countries were shown, almost all in Munich for the first time. See website for the 2017 program.
November 19-25, 2017. Held annually by Internationale Münchner Filmwochen. One of the most important international festivals for emerging filmmakers.
