Gay Pride Istanbul

June 23-29, 2014 Pride Week. Annual events since 2003 when about 30 people took part in the first Gay Pride Istanbul. Recent marches attract 10,000-30,000 people with a parade from Taksim Square along the length of İstiklal Avenue. See KAOS for updates.

August 13 - October 5, 2014. The concept of graffiti, from street to museum, 20+ artists from America, Germany, France, Japan, and Turkey. Artists: Futura, Carlos Mare, Cope 2, Turbo, Wyne, JonOne, Tilt, Mist, Psyckoze, Craig Costello (aka KR), Herakut, Logan Hicks, C215, Suiko, Evol, Gaia, Tabone, Funk and No More Lies; plus photographs of Martha Cooper, Henry Chalfant and Hugh Holland.

14th Istanbul Biennial

September-November, 2015. A contemporary art exhibition, held every two years in Istanbul since 1987, organised by the İstanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. The Biennial aims to create a meeting point in the field of visual arts between artists from diverse cultures and the audience.
