July 21 - August 1, 2016, at 30+ venues around the city, most within walking distance of Metro stations Place-des-Arts, Saint-Laurent and Berri-UQAM. The Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal is the largest comedy festival in the world, attracting 1.25 million visitors every summer -- celebrating their 34th anniversary in 2016!
July through August, 2016. For eight summer Saturday nights the skies over Montreal are filled with fireworks displays each year from La Ronde on Île Sainte-Hélène - pyrotechnics by the masters of the art from countries around the world, each based on a theme.
August 8-14, 2016, annual festivities over 7 days: SAT: Village Community Day, Ste-Catherine E. SUN Pride Parade, from 1pm on René-Lévesque Boulevard West, from Guy to Sanguinet, in the heart of downtown Montréal; shows and activities will take place at Place Émilie-Gamelin, in addition to a conference, a mega T-dance, parties and a play at various venues.
August 9-14, 2016, 6pm-midnight, (from 4pm Friday, 3pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday) at Émilie-Gamelin, Sainte-Catherine at Saint-Hubert. Showcasing the 10 editions of the festival since 2007. History recounted through evocative images, memories of moments at the festivities. Explore past themes, reacquaint with previous grand marshals, and see all the parade prizewinners again.
August 9-14, 2016, 6-11pm, at place Émilie-Gamelin, Sainte-Catherine at Saint-Hubert. Montréal Pride + Jean-Pierre Pérusse welcome artists who have promoted creativity and culture of LGTBQ communities, and embody the spirit of Pride. Works of selected artists will be on display - come and support our artists and take home a masterpiece – or two!
August 11, 2016, departure at 7pm from Square Phillips to Place Émilie-Gamelin. All lesbians and women who love women are invited to join in this march celebrating the lesbian experience. Mission: to bring together all variations of this experience, be it lived by persons who are lesbian, queer, bi, trans, two-spirit or intersex.

September, 2016 (TBC) Parterre du Quartier des spectacles. Dance. Walk. Move. Join us in a parade through the streets of downtown Montreal – the largest fundraising campaign for HIV/AIDS in Quebec. The Farha Foundation, in partnership with ALDO FIGHTS AIDSTogether, provide support to those living with HIV/AIDS across Quebec through an event celebrating life and solidarity.
September 8-10, 2016, 8pm at La Chapelle. Invited artists are given carte blanche to present whatever they want, as long as it is under 3 minutes! A timekeeper is present and any artist going over the allotted time frame is immediately cut off. A party will follow the last performance.

June 23-24, 2017. Annual Québec statutory holiday. Pagan festivals long celebrated Summer Solstice longest day with bonfires. In Catholic countries the rites became associated with St John the Baptist. In Quebec it is their National Day, celebrated with enthusiasm and joy throughout the province. Montreal festivities are centered in parc Maisonneuve, with entertainment.
June - July, 2017. Five day long annual weekend. Young and upcoming artists exhibit the first two days in booths and tents along Sainte-Catherine E in the Village (between St-Hubert and Papineau) - followed by exhibits by more established artists for the final three days of the event.
