August 1, 2014, 10pm at Switch, Lästmakargatan 8, Stockholm. Popular gay and straight-friendly Saturday dances, ages 18+ on three dance floors, pop, schlager nostalgia, dancehall and RnB music. Also open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the last week during Pride celebrations. Club opened: March 1 2014 - closing night: August 1, 2014 due to loss of lease (building was sold).
August 2, 2014, 11pm-5am, Wonk moves for one special night to Kristall, Kungsgatan 56, Stockholm. Pride celebration LGBT 18+ dancing on three dance floors, and terrace dance floor, five bars, with DJs Duo Raw, Phil Romano, Christoffer Foldes, Carl Durelius, Fagmaster Blix, Daniel Olsson, and Kazaky with a new show.
August 12-17, 2014. The ninth annual festival of over 600 free events, on 6-8 stages and performance areas in city center, bringing over 300,000 visitors to the city each year. Events with local and international artists include: pop, rock, and world music, jazz, classical music, comedy shows, street art, film screenings, art and photography exhibits, plus dance performances.
August 14, 2014 at Hollongrottan Bookstore, Bergsundsgatan 25, Stockholm. A seminar of Nordic LGBTQ writers and reading marathon of the great old gaykanon. Event be held in English and the marathon readings in English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish.
August 16, 2014, from Ringvägen outside Zinkensdamms IP, a 10km distance with 35,500 runners this year. Also the Masquerade Competition - a big party to amuse the many spectators who come to cheer on the runners.
