December 7-10, 2017 (TBC). Lyon becomes the Capital of Lights. Believing the city was saved from a 1643 plague by the Virgin Mary, the city erected her statue in 1852, and the city lit up with candles in windows. 4-day events include colored illumination of Basilica of Fourvière, fireworks, + place des Terreaux light show.
