February 10 - March 4, 2017. Three weeks during February/ early March, annual festival with over 1,100 artists from around New Zealand and the world, featuring world premieres, new artists and established companies creating new, cutting edge art. Over 700 events are staged all over the city – in established venues, houses, galleries, cafes, bars, street corners and parks.
March 3-19, 2017. Annual event, 31 years running. Past year nine days kicked off with Love Parade fun and frolics, open to all, from Frank Kitts Park to Waitangi Park. Full day fair featured 60+ stalls of clothing, jewellery, crafts, books, toys, electronics, plus food and drinks, free entertainment: singers, drag queens/ kings, comedians, and circus performers on stage.
July 28 -August 13, 2017 at various venues. Over two weeks of screenings at the annual Auckland and Wellington Film Festivals along along with associated festivals around New Zealand. This past year included 184 feature films and shorts. See film program listing and dates for 2017 at:
