Discussing the possibilities of women's football in Mexico, starting with a film screening, then talking with professionals in the sport to explore options on how to change the paradigm in Mexico. Screening of the documentary They call us Warriors, about the Venezuelan national team and its way to the U17 World Cup in Jordan.
December 14-29, 2019. Best friends Carlos and Gera, alienated by their sheltered, entitled middle-class lives, find liberation in art, drugs and sex in the underground clubs of 1986 Mexico City. Anarchic, hedonistic, and experimental post-punk excesses engender kaleidoscopic avant-garde art, direct-action protest, and queer awakenings, amid the dizzying freedom of a world without rules.
February 20-23, 2020. Four-day, de-centralized art+music festival. International artists include Horse Meat Disco, Carry Nation, and Bears in Space, appearing alongside diverse/ talented local DJs, producers, and artists. THU Colectivo 41 Gallery Party. March 19 - May 28, 2020 in Mexico City. Celebrating all that connects/ makes us aware of our interdependence. Film festivals create empathetic links, bringing the viewer closer to other worlds and deeper understandings; creating more connective spaces to free ourselves from certain modes of thinking and feeling, sharing in genuine collective individualism.
April 10-18, 2020. Brimming with rich culture and awe-inspiring architecture Mexico City can be hard to experience it all in one trip, so we’ve lined up plenty of big and hidden gems. We’ll visit ancient pyramids, take walks through interesting neighborhoods, enjoy a wide variety of arts, and have delicious food and drinks along the way.
June 27, 2020 (TBC). Annual Saturday parade from 10am until noon at the Angel de la Independencia in Zona Rosa, then go to the Zócalo where there will be more events and entertainment. Other events take place around the city the same week in gay bars, hotels, pubs, and restaurants along wiih special promotions. Around a million people have participated in previous years.
