St Louis LGBTQ film Festival 2017

Late April, 2017. An annual 5-day event at the Tivoli Theatre. QFest uses the art of contemporary gay cinema to spotlight the lives of LGBTQ people. The festival features an eclectic slate of contemporary LGBTQ-themed feature films, documentaries, and shorts. Check their website for details.

July 16-20, 2017 (TBC), at Tivoli Theatre and Webster U. The area's primary venue for films made by local artists. With advances in affordable digital filmmaking, more and more movies are being made in St. Louis and environs, but opportunities for moviegoers to see that work are scarce, because few of the films ever screen commercially.

September 2-3, 2017 (TBC), 3pm-midnight. Annual open-air Saturday/Sunday blues music festival on 3 stages: national, regional, local blues acts.
