Raleigh’s only pro sports team is the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes. The one-time Stanley Cup champs play at the 18,000-seat RBC Center and tickets are relatively easy to come by – if not especially cheap.

Weekly midnight showings of the camp classic Rocky Horror Picture Show take place at the Rialto Theatre every Friday night. Costumes are optional but encouraged, as is singing along.
