May 7-10, 2014 at The Bristol Old Vic. The powerful true story of a ragbag cast of convicts, who put on a play under the guidance of an earnest young marine officer. As the barriers between captors and captives break down, they start to discover each other, onstage and behind the scenes. Examining class in the convict camp, sexuality, punishment, and the Georgian judicial system.

Exploring the world which lies behind the Wallace & Gromit characters, their Bristol based creators, Aardman Animations and the award-winning films in which they star. The exhibition coincides with the 25th anniversary of the first-ever Wallace & Gromit film release and highlights Bristol’s strong creative scene.
