The St John's Eve celebration of Sankt Hans or Midsummer night is a popular Nordic tradition that takes place every year around the Summer Solstice, June 21st, the longest day of the year. Mid-November, 2020 (TBC) at Cinemateket + other venues. Latest in cinematic breakthroughs each year. Sampling some of the best, bravest, most eye-opening films from around the world. Also paying tribute to new talent as 10 debuting directors compete for the New Talent Grand PIX award, and a 10,000 euro prize. Screenings of over 200 films, including some with LGBTQ themes.

May 29-30. 2021 (TBC) at Fælledparken, Østerbro. Weekend folk festival stage shows w. food, drinks vendors, parades through city streets on SAT May 29th, star parade with three major Carnival Trucks: Soca truck Cph, Mardi Gras Truck and Salvador Truck. August 12-22, 2021. Hundreds of thousands of people will gather in Copenhagen and Malmö to celebrate. Late FRI afternoon kick-off in Ophelia Square, central Copenhagen, harbor front w/ extensive stage show artists performing/ combined with nearby sporting activities. August 18-20, 2021. An LGBTI+ inclusive sporting event including 29 different sports, all with their own tournaments, across Copenhagen and Malmö - expecting more than 5,000 athletes. Registration will open in the summer of 2020. Besides EuroGames, Copenhagen 2021 will host a Sports Leader Conference and a public program Sports to the People.
