Visit West Hollywood has visitor information from the West Hollywood Convention & Visitors Bureau, including restaurants, shops and hotel suggestions, with LGBT pages too.

The Frontiers Magazine group, and Odyssey Magazine are local gay publications with the scoop on nightlife and lifestyle of greater LA. Cybersocket, the online gay & lesbian info-site is also based in Los Angeles - as is the Advocate, the grand-daddy of national circulation gay magazines in the USA.

GayLosAngeles website covers the whole city, but gives special attention to WeHo, with every-night listings for all the clubs. WeHo News also has West Hollywood covered.

Atlantis, the cruise and party group based in LA with trips around the world, has cruises from LA to Mexico, and Puerto Vallarta special events. See their site for details.

Grammys & Oscars:

The Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards (the "Oscars"), both taking place each February, are cause for celebrations everywhere at this motion picture center-of-the-universe. Even those without invitations to the most exclusive parties can join in the fun at local bars, and parties all over town.

Hike, Camp, Ski, Dive:

Arriba! Ski & Snowboard Club is an organization of gay & lesbian skiers and snowboarders who have organized ski trips to Mammoth, out of state resorts, and to international destinations for over 30 years.

Elevation: Mammoth Gay Ski Week combines skiing with partying during their big bash each March - from Tom Whitman Presents.

The Barnacle Busters Scuba Club is the world's largest gay/lesbian diving club, exploring local waters and more exotic tropical locales. Diving instruction for open water is offered for most any experience level.

Great Outdoors. Out of the bars and under the stars they say: alternative places for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender people to meet and socialize. Camping and hiking weekends and events all over the area, all year long.

The popular Will Rogers gay beach is on Pacific Coast Highway just above Santa Monica State Beach. See where John Ritter fell off his bicycle cruising chicks, in Three's Company, at the world-famous Muscle Beach in Venice Beach; or check out the Santa Monica Beach Pier, where much of The Lost Boys was filmed.

Compare your hand- and footprints to those of stars from the 1920s to the present, on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the world-famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre. You're likely to be handed a flyer for a free film screening or a television show taping.

Social & Fraternal Clubs:

Oedipus Motorcycle Club of Los Angeles motorcycle riding and related social activities, for the gay and lesbian community; sports bikes, cruisers, Harley’s, whatever. Monthly trips throughout Southern California, from Ojai to Long Beach.

The Pacific Coast Motorcycle Club is a gay men's social group of fraternal connections and far-flung friends who enjoy community camaraderie. Their main event: the 40 year-running, four-night, full-moon rendezvous at Black Mountain private campground  above Palm Springs, with old friends and new compatriots. July 21-25, 2010.

Los Angeles Nude Guys are gay and bisexual men who like to hang out with other men, naked, for friendship and good times. Activities include Jacuzzi and pool parties, cocktail parties, backyard barbeques, potluck dinners, day hikes, and weekend excursions to Palm Springs - among others.

California Men Enjoying Naturalism, LA, has a variety of all-nude social and recreational events, including pool parties, cocktail parties, and potlucks for gay naturist men in the Greater Los Angeles Area throughout the year.

Down south, Beach Cities Men Enjoying Naturalism, or BC-Men for short,  is guys from the areas of Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Long Beach, and Redondo Beach who have events in a social atmosphere, the biggest difference being that everyone is nude, at various members' private homes.

Bears LA has a full roster of events, including Bear It in the Desert, in Palm Springs, and Campout at Silverlake Lake. Each 1st Saturday of the month they meet at Pistons Bar in Long Beach.

LA Prime Timers is a social organization for mature men and younger men who admire them, providing relaxation, pleasure, growth and social interaction for it's members. Meetings take place once monthly, with buffet, hot tub, sauna, massage, pool table, piano, exercise equipment and showers, in a clothing-optional, friendly environment.
