June 24, 2015. The celebration of Sankt Hans or Midsummer night is a popular Nordic tradition that takes place every year around the Summer Solstice, June 21st, the longest day of the year. The entire city celebrates, but the place you want to be is Amager Beach Park by Helgoland Baths.
Mid-July, 2015, (usually) at Kapelvej 44, Copenhagen, a part of the local culture house - about creating queer space and community consciousness-raising; local artists, musicians, DJs, performers, film screenings and workshops. Check the website for details about this unique event.
Early August, 2015 (to be confirmed), RFSL Malmö, Gasverksgatan 11, Malmo Sweden. The Rainbow Festival in Malmö, 25 minutes by train from Copenhagen: 5 days of speeches, parties, a parade, drag shows & entertainment. Gatufest street party.
Late August, 2015 (to be confirmed), fully loaded week of events, parties and, of course, a Saturday parade and Pride Show at Rådhuspladsen, City Hall Plaza. See website for details and parade route. Also parties around town.
