The Kansas City Repertory Theatre has interesting productions, and the Unicorn Theatre has fare that's always compelling, and frequently gay-tinged.
Frolic with bears:
The Kansas City Bear Mafia promote friendship and camaraderie for area gay men identifying as bears, cubs and their admirers. Events include bar and ice cream social nights, pool parties and a camping trip to the Cactus Canyon Campground in the Ozark mountains. Their Bear Crossing weekend takes place in August.
