April 24-28, 2016, an annual event at the Tivoli Theatre. QFest uses the art of contemporary gay cinema to spotlight the lives of LGBTQ people. The 2015 event featured an eclectic slate of contemporary LGBTQ-themed feature films, documentaries, and shorts. Check their website for details.
June 24-26, 2016, annual weekend of festivities, Sunday noon parade on Market Street with the Arch as the backdrop. Three-day festival at Soldiers’ Memorial in Downtown St Louis, with entertainment, venders, food, drinks, dancing. July 17-21, 2016, at Tivoli Theatre and Webster U. The area's primary venue for films made by local artists. With advances in affordable digital filmmaking, more and more movies are being made in St. Louis and environs, but opportunities for moviegoers to see that work are scarce, because few of the films ever screen commercially.
August 27-28, 2016, annual multicultural festival, one of most celebrated annual St Louis events; promotes, honors & celebrates the city's cultural diversity. Food booths, non-stop music & dance, arts, crafts, & international bazaar. Tower Grove Park, 4256 Magnolia Avenue.
September 3-4, 2016 (TBC). Labor Day Weeeknd, noon-11pm. Annual open-air Saturday/Sunday blues music festival on 3 stages: national, regional, local blues acts. LaClede's Landing on Mississippi River: cobblestone streets, cast iron buildings, shops & restaurants, short walk from Gateway Arch.
First weekend October, 2016. Mr Midwest Leather Contest. Annual event for leathermen Mr Midwest Leather Contest! -title covers 13 Midwest States.
