April 15 - May 15, 2016. St Stephen’s + Knox Presbyterian churches + Q Faith. Semi-autobiographical play portrays complexities surrounding faith and queer identity. A pivotal moment in the life of Tim, a gay man who left the conservative church and reparative therapy, trying to reconcile faith and sexuality. Paralyzed by his past, at a crossroads, he must decide or be destroyed.
April 16, 20, 22, 2016, Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, 1415 14th Ave NW. The Queen of the Night entices a young prince in order to free her daughter from the clutches of her nemesis. Stars: Shannon Mercer as Pamina, Adam Luther as Tamino, Hugh Russell as Papageno, Ambur Braid as Queen of the Night and Uwe Dambruch as Sarastro. Robert Tweten conducts, with direction by Rob Herriot

May 20-28, 2016. The 18th annual queer film festival (past year at The Plaza Cinema and other screens). Live shows, gatherings and the best queer film has to offer from here and around the world. Full program and line-up TBA at the end of April 2016, or sign up for their newsletter for news.
July 1-3, 2016 (past year at Strathmore Recreation Campground/ RV Park, 33 Wheatland Trail, Strathmore). Traditional rodeo: bull riding, steer riding, barrel racing, roping; camp events, goat dressing, Wild Drag dancing + cabaret. Music festival, women’s night, pop, blues and rock, + local country artists. ARGRA participates in Calgary & Edmonton Pride Festivals.
August 26 - September 5, 2016. The 26th anniversary! Events typically include: FRI KickOff Party. SAT Bi-B-Q + Pride Dance; SUN noon-2pm Pride Parade down 9th Ave S, from 1st St SE to 11th St SW + festival at Shaw Millennium Park until 8pm + Pride Wrap-Up Party. December 31, 2016. Celebrate with 2 free parties downtown: Family Dance Party at the Municipal Building, and an Outdoor Celebration at Olympic Plaza. Free skate rentals for a spin on the ice, ice sculptures, ice carving demonstrations, storytelling and bonfire songs by the fire pit, DJ music/ entertainment/ MC. Midnight countdown video, laser show + fireworks!
February, 2017 (TBC), the Engineered Air Theatre. In 1992 the festival showcased 8 short films on Super 8; four rolls of Super 8 cost of $100. Later budgetary limits were dropped and 16 mm film allowed, shifting the focus from low budget to quality small-format films. Now an international celebration of creative story-telling on celluloid, including commission projects and partnerships.
Late-March, 2017 (TBC). About 500 athletes participate in 4 sporting sport tournaments: bowling, curling, dodgeball + volleyball. Socials include: registration night party, Friday event and Calgary's largest LGBT dance on Saturday, preceded by a warm-up party.
