August 4-22, 2021. Festival of the world, European and German premieres, three weeks each August at Kampnagel and selected places in Hamburg. Since its beginning in the mid 80s, the festival has held a position as one of the big European festivals, presenting about 50 different works of theatre, dance, visual arts, performance, music and theory, from around the world.
August 6-8, 2021 from 3pm. Events observe anniversary of 1189 decree by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, issuing a charter to local merchants, granting freedom from customs duties for ships that sailed the Elbe from Hamburg to the North Sea.
