Operates between February 12th - November 13th. One of only three cogwheel trains in France, runs between the sacred Basque mountain of La Rhune on the Spanish border, and Col de Saint-Ignace, in Sare (park here), SE of Ascain. Panoramic views from 2,970 ft (905 m) include peaks of the Pyrenees, Basque Coast from San Sebastián to Biarritz and beaches of Les Landes beyond. 35 minutes each direction. Snack bar/restaurant & souvenir shop on site.
