Distinguishing itself from earlier Eurocolonial terms, the network took the Two-Spirit name. The documentary uses extensive archival film, movie clips and personal recollections to construct an audiovisual history of the gay community before the Stonewall riots.

This festival showcases the most innovative, risk-taking visionaries in film, photography, performance, music, the art scene, porno-land and even porn karaoke to challenge the erotic film genre; artists who have explored sex through their work for years.

November - December, 2021. Past year featured eleven films in eleven days. Stories of courageous humans, films document human rights violations and give insights into current crisis. The Festival offers new perspectives and a platform to engage in human rights discussions.
December 14, 2021 at 6:30-7:30pm. Whether in big cities or rural areas, gay life is/ was often characterized by loneliness. Experts discuss the question from different perspectives: are homosexuals particularly lonely and what life-historical backgrounds might be contributing factors - based on social or individual causes? With historical data, current studies and our own experiences.
November 26, 2021 - March 13, 2022. Zanele Muholi self-identifies as a visual activist and has been documenting the life of Black LGBTQIA+ communities since the early 2000s in intimate and powerful photographs across South Africa and beyond. From 26 November 2021 to 13 March 2022, the Gropius Bau will host Muholi’s first retrospective in Germany.
