Grand culmination of months of effort, hot glue, glitter, and fabulosity by The Krewe of Armeinius, New Orleans' largest Gay Mardi Gras organization, founded 1968. One of the most unique gay Bal Masque experiences ever, highlights 300 years of hidden NOLA. VIP mansion party 6pm; doors 7pm.
February 13, 2018, 10am-2pm, from Bud Rip's, 900 Piety St. Known for their elaborate/ beautiful costumes, the core group gathers in the Bywater neighborhood each Mardi Gras morning, with the music by the Storyville Stompers brass band. Passing through the Faubourg Marigny and the French Quarter, the parade is joined by additional marchers in costume.
March 3, 2018, 7pm. Self-professed "clown in a gown" hilariously hateful comic known for foul mouth and unapologetic humor. Matt & Dusty's 10th Bear Gathering at their salt water pool, Jacuzzi and fun surroundings, open to 200 guests. Open bar and "swampatizers." Open bar + borderless bites. Tickets: see website. Proceeds to benefit Vet-a-GoGo, pet care on wheels.

Mid-November, 2018. Four-day weekend, walking-distance venues, low ticket prices. Small and tight and strong. Mostly local, mostly new, all challenging. Art before Commerce. "Downtown, wherever we can squeeze ourselves in around the gentrification." Per show tickets or weekend pass, with exceptions for some shows.
