Saskatoon Jazz Festival

Early July, 2021. For ten days each summer, the city of Saskatoon bursts into song as the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival plays host to hundreds of world class artists. Over 85,000 music fans arrive for the sounds of jazz, blues, funk, pop, and world music each year, with a program that spans as many genres as it does continents.

This Summer on the Festival Mainstage:
Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan

July - August, 2021, at river's edge, west bank, at the foot of the University Bridge. Contemporary and traditional productions of plays by William Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Each summer, two full-length plays are performed in repertory by professional artists, in large tents on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River in the heart of Saskatoon.

Mid-July, 2021. Six days in Kiwanis Park, 601 Spadina Cres. E, located between the Delta Bessborough Hotel and the Bandshell. From 11am each day, featuring over 30 of Saskatoon's finest restaurants serving their house favorite dishes. Also 55 of Saskatchewan’s premier bands and performers with Country music, Rock, Celtic, Blues, Reggae, Salsa, Jazz, Pop, and more.

July - August, 2021 on Broadway Avenue. The Saskatoon Fringe Festival had to cancel due to the pandemic this past year - so they created something new - the This is Not That Festival - using technology and physical distancing to create art and theatre in innovative ways. For 2021 plans see:

Saskatoon Folkfest

Mid-August, 2021, locations throughout Saskatoon. A 3-day festival of folkways, modern + traditional music, dance, crafts, food and beverages to experience at 20+ pavilions from nations and cultures of every continent, along with regional native peoples. Shuttle bus services to all stops every 20 minutes - free with a Folkfest Passport. A July gala offers a sneak peak.
